Wendi (and a full band) will be playing at Oakhurst Porchfest in Decatur, GA on October 19, 2024! Porchfest is a neighborhood-wide day of musical performances on people’s porches. It’s free, all-ages, and there will be a ton of great music and art! And did we mention FREE? Wendi will be performing on the porch of 249 Madison Ave, Decatur, GA, 30030 at 12 noon, so don’t be late! The whole event runs from noon-7pm.
New Dharma Bums tribute includes song by Wendi
The long-awaited tribute album, Hope of the Hour: A Tribute to Portland’s Dharma Bums, is out, including me singing the song “Aces.” The album also includes the Young Fresh Fellows, the Minus 5, and many, many more! Proceeds go to the Jeremy Wilson Foundation, which helps support musicians in need in Oregon or Clark County, Washington. Find your copy here!
Shirts and a few other things now available!
Want a shirt? Kickstarter backers were able to order t-shirts with the fabulous Looking For Buildings album cover art (by Sarah Marks), but I didn’t have them available for others. The one extra I had was sold at the record release party a couple of weeks ago, but some folks were asking if they could get one too. Your wish is my command! I now have a tiny online shop with t-shirts, mugs, posters, and… shoes? đ
Go here and get yourself a shirt!

âBuy this fine indie power pop album right nowâ
Looking For Buildings is Green Monkey Records’ featured album for January 2022!
It’s kind of funny because I’m not on that label. But I’ve known label owner Tom Dyer for decades now, and Green Monkey is a fine label with lots of great records you should buy. And I don’t say that because I know Tom! It’s good stuff anyway.
Another funny thing is that many years ago, I was in a band that recorded a little demo in Tom’s studio. When we finished, we submitted the demo to him to see if he’d be interested in putting some stuff by us out on Green Monkey. But he (very kindly, and rightfully) turned us down. đ
To quote Howie from Green Monkey: “You should go out and buy this fine indie power pop album right now.” So do it! And thanks very much to Howie and Tom!
“A strong debut that deserves to be heard”
A new review, this time from Power Popaholic!
“An elegant vocal that catches your ear right away… The guitar jangle and heart-felt ‘Season of Loss’ is a bittersweet rocker about the Pandemic, with a hook-filled chorus. Next, the sophisticated ‘Field of View’ shows a depth of emotional joy seldom heard.
“…This is a strong debut that deserves to be heard. Check it out.”

Looking For Buildings on the air!
I greatly appreciate the podcasts and radio shows that have been playing songs from Looking For Buildings, and hope there will soon be many more! In the meantime, please request your favorite podcasts and broadcasters to play “Buildings” or another song from the album!
Looking For Buildings is out now!
Looking For Buildings is available, via my label, Futureman Records! If you’re a CD listener, Futureman has CDs for sale as well, in limited quantities, so grab one now!
The final digital release version has ten songs. Nine songs are my originals (two co-written with others), and one is a cover of a song by Sioux Falls, SD singer-songwriter Dave Scarbrough, who also sings some backup on the album. All are catchy, melodic, and well-worth a listenâat least, I think so!
If you like the record, please do share it with anyone you think might enjoy it. And stay tuned for more recording and even some possible live performances. Thanks!
